Andrea Armour, DVM
Dr. Armour is a native of Santa Fe, New Mexico. She received her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Pomona College in Claremont, CA, before traveling back to the mountains for her veterinary training, where she graduated from Colorado State University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. After practicing for several years in New Mexico, Dr. Armour returned to California to work in Los Angeles, and has been practicing emergency medicine at Advanced Veterinary Specialists since 2016.
Dr. Armour specializes in toxicities, rattlesnake envenomations, and management of complex hospitalization cases. She often works in conjunction with specialty team members at AVS, contributing her expertise in treating cases involving multiple bodily systems. In her free time, Dr. Armour enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, and German Shepherd Nala. She and her husband proudly welcomed their first child, a daughter in December 2017.
