Advanced Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Board-certified / Residency-trained Criticalist to join our 24-hour Emergency / Critical Care and multi-specialty practice in beautiful Santa Barbara, CA. This individual would be working with Specialists in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, Cardiology, and Dentistry, as well as a team of dedicated Emergency Clinicians and friendly support staff. Our hospital offers full service in-house Laboratory, Ultrasound, Computed Tomography, Digital Radiography, Laparoscopy, Endoscopy and more.
In January 2015, Advanced Veterinary Specialists became certified as a Level II Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Facility by the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS). AVS is 1 of only 5 veterinary hospitals in the state of California to achieve Level II designation.

We are a privately owned practice with an established referral base. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a service that is well supported by the area’s referring veterinarians. Must be comfortable in an environment where all are encouraged to collaborate on patient care, and referring veterinarians and pet owners receive personal and attentive service.

Requirements

  1. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
  2. Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of California (or eligible to apply)
  3. Board certified Diplomate of the ACVECC

Advanced Veterinary Specialists is seeking an experienced Veterinary Client Services Representative to join our 24-hour Emergency and Multi-Specialty Practice in beautiful Santa Barbara, CA. We have Boarded Specialists in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, Cardiology and Dentistry as well as a team of dedicated Emergency Clinicians. Our hospital offers full service In-house Laboratory, Ultrasound, CT Scanning, Digital Radiography, Laparoscopy, Endoscopy, and more. We are a privately owned practice and have developed a successful referral base.

We are looking for a candidate who will deliver Service Excellence to our clients that also has a strong work ethic and dedication to our Team. Must be able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and have a love for animals and their people!

Duties will include answering multiple phone lines, client & patient registration, processing financial transactions for services rendered, entering client communications for clinical staff and other administrative duties as needed. Must be organized and attentive to details! Veterinary (or healthcare) experience strongly preferred.
